About Us
Vault is a home décor boutique located in downtown Malakoff, Texas in the Cedar Creek Lake area just south east of Dallas. We specialize in offering customers a wide variety of stylish items, ranging from furniture, unique pieces for the kitchen and bedroom, and gifts. We’ve also partnered with local artisans to provide one-of-a-kind products only available in the old bank building. Vault offers wood jewelry from Molly Taylor of Beneath The Bark, handmade leather and soft goods from Damien Mitchell, and paintings from husband-wife duo Casey and Rachel Williams.
The story of Vault began in the spring of 2019, when Tybee Tuminello and Kurt LaCroix bought a lake home and spent their first weekend visiting nearby Malakoff and exploring the shops in Malakoff. It’s as though the old bank vault had unlocked a desire to set up a shop in the building. Before long, they’d set up an LLC and were on their way to offering the town something they didn’t have yet.
“We are truly a one-of-a-kind store,” Tybee said to VoyageDallas magazine. “There’s nothing like it around the Cedar Creek Lake area. So come by VaULT and take a picture inside the original bank vault from the early 1900s.”
Vault isn’t just another home furnishing store — it’s a unique shopping experience that offers patrons a wide selection of gifts, art (paintings and art you can use), décor, throw pillows, kitchen tools, jewelry, candles, ornaments, etc., etc., etc. So visit us, explore the boutique, take a picture in the bank vault, and get locked in style.
